One of the biggest Russian tour operators "Labyrinth" selling Greece has stopped its activity yesterday, 2nd of August 2014, while thousands of tourists who have prepaid their holidays are staying abroad and others were planned to travel these days.
"Labyrinth" is known for a special vacation club program "mother and child" that has been launched several years ago as well as other travel packages to Greece and other countries .
"Labyrinth" was a consolidator of Orenburg Airlines charter flights (Russian airline company) with whom it had a financial conflict which got to its peak yesterday and became one of the main reasons of the tour operator's final failure.
"Labyrinth" was selling tourist packages including aircraft seats on the charter program to Santorini both last year and in 2014. "Labyrinth" handling agent in Santorini  is Le Grand travel company with the main office in Crete and branch offices in Santorini and Rhodes.
It is still unknown how the tourists who already arrived in Santorini and other destinations in Greece are supposed to fly back home. The tourists who were supposed to fly to Greece yesterday and these days are complaining that the Labyrinth' does not pick up phone calls.
A press release published on the official website of the company says the tourists and travel agents are to receive the compensation from the insurance company.
